The Opening Ceremony of the Basic Education Program for the 39th batch of Nature Lovers Students of Aranyacala was held on March 10, 2023, attended by representatives from BAMA Universitas Trisakti and the Vice Rector for Student Affairs. This event aims to kick off the Basic Education activities as a stage in the member recruitment process before becoming official members of the Nature Lovers Students of Aranyacala.

During this Basic Education program, students will be taught various skills and expertise as adventurers and nature enthusiasts to serve as a foundation for exploration, expeditions, operations, and outdoor adventures. The importance of acquiring basic knowledge is to minimize risks associated with outdoor activities in the future.

The ceremony included a speech and message from the Vice Rector for Student Affairs, who motivated and encouraged students to take the Basic Education program seriously. Following this, the event proceeded with an opening by the Vice Rector and a prayer reading.

The 39th Basic Education program will feature learning sessions led by experienced instructors in adventure and outdoor activities. Students will learn various skills such as physical training, outdoor cooking techniques, map reading or navigation in the wilderness, survival techniques, basic weather knowledge, and how to set up tents in nature.

Additionally, topics on safety while adventuring, adventure ethics, and proper waste disposal to maintain environmental cleanliness will be covered. Students will also learn nature photography techniques to share their experiences with the world through beautiful photos.

At the end of the Basic Education program, students are required to participate in field activities to test, apply, and evaluate the knowledge they have acquired throughout the program. It is hoped that after completing this Basic Education, students will be better prepared and resilient in facing various challenges in the outdoors, becoming individuals who are caring and responsible towards the environment.
