DevFest Depok 2022
What is DevFest?
DevFest is an annual decentralized technology conference hosted by Google Developers worldwide. 2022 will be DevFest’s 11th year and mark the beginning of the second decade of the GDG community. All chapters of the Google Developer Group around the world are trying to present interesting and useful events for the local community, including the Google Developer Group Chapter Depok which presents Devfest Depok 2022.
This year Devfest Depok 2022 will be held on December 10, 2022, by presenting several speakers with 4 topics consisting of Android, Firebase, Cloud/AI/ML, Web. We will also have a WTM Session. The selection of these 4 topics is in line with the current needs of the digital industry, so it is hoped that this will have a positive impact on the local Depok community to gain new insights regarding their future careers and the current field being studied. It is hoped that through this activity many benefits can be felt by various parties.

DevFest Depok 2022: Featuring World Technology Experts
On December 10, 2022, the Google Developers Group (GDG) Chapter Depok successfully held their annual technology event, DevFest Depok 2022. Attended by over 400 people, the event took place at the Auditorium of the Japanese Language Study Center at the University of Indonesia, Depok. The event featured several renowned speakers in the technology field, including Ivan Kristianto (Google Developer Expert in Chrome), Adam Rozaq Sobari (Blibli Associate DevOps Engineer), Tiffany Adriana (Google Customer Solution Consultant), Deta Aditya (Tokopedia Software Engineer, Web Platform), Veronica Putri (eW+ Software Engineer, Android), and many more.
DevFest Depok 2022 began at 9:00 AM and concluded at 4:40 PM with a packed and engaging schedule. The event started with registration at 9:00 AM and an opening address from GDG at 9:30 AM. This was followed by a Sponsored Talk session at 9:40 AM before entering the Tech Talk sessions.
The Tech Talk sessions began at 10:10 AM with speaker Utsman Muhammad discussing Android, followed by Veronica Putri at 10:40 AM, also on Android. Then, at 11:10 AM, Viranita Julianti presented on Firebase, followed by a Q&A session at 11:40 AM.
After the Q&A, participants enjoyed a photo session, lunch, and a break. The event resumed with a Tech Talk on the Web at 1:00 PM by Ivan K, followed by another Web Tech Talk at 1:30 PM by Deta Aditya. A Q&A session was held at 2:00 PM before moving on to a Sponsored Talk at 2:20 PM.
At 2:50 PM, a fun and refreshing Game Break was held for participants. Then, at 3:10 PM, Tiffany Adriana, Google Customer Solution Consultant, led the WTM Session. Another Q&A session followed at 3:40 PM before the final presentation at 3:55 PM on Cloud/ML by Adam R Sobari. The event concluded with a Closing & Networking session at 4:40 PM.
During DevFest Depok 2022, participants gained valuable information and insights about the latest technologies from world experts. It is hoped that this event will greatly benefit participants and positively contribute to the development of technology in Indonesia. Thank you to GDG!
