Scrum on Trello
Scrum is a technique within the agile framework in companies that helps teams solve problems by fostering strong communication among team members. Currently, scrum is widely used in software development. However, in essence, this method can be applied to any product or project development effort. Scrum was developed by Jeff Sutherland and his development team in the early 1990s. Further development of the Scrum method has been carried out by Schwaber and Beedle.
Stages of the Scrum Method
The Scrum method is a technique formed by several stages of the process, starting from the product backlog to the sprint retrospective. Here is a complete explanation of the stages of the Scrum method.
Product backlog
The first stage is the responsibility of the product owner or manager. Simply put, this stage contains a list of what the team needs to do based on the company’s priority scale. Representatives of the company, along with stakeholder representation, are responsible for continuously organizing the product backlog. This is because market conditions will always change, so what is non-essential in the backlog must also be eliminated.Sprint planning
In the sprint planning stage, the top product or project in the product backlog is then rearranged into a sprint backlog. Another task performed by the Scrum team is to determine how they will accomplish what is in the sprint backlog.Sprint
After the method and time limit for implementation are determined in sprint planning, the next stage of the Scrum method is to carry out the sprint. This process is done through daily scrum activities. The daily scrum is a time when the team gathers and works to ensure that product development progresses. In this process, the role of the Scrum Master is also known. Generally, the team involved in the scrum process is a group of people. Among these people, there is a representative who acts as the Scrum Master. The Scrum Master’s task is to help the team stay focused.Sprint Review
Sprint review is the last stage of the sprint. In this process, the product or project being worked on should be completed and ready to use. The product is then reviewed again.Retrospective Process
Scrum is a method that is iterative. The process performed by the company, starting from creating a backlog to the review, is remembered and repeated in the next Scrum project.
